Fable 5 was designed to push the boundaries of reasoning, long-context processing, and safety alignment, areas where Anthropic has positioned itself as a leader. However, many businesses are finding that less advanced models offered by competitors-or even Anthropic’s own older, lower-tier versions-meet their practical needs without the premium price tag.
